Letterforms

More than just the graphical shell, the typefaces are intermediaries, perceptual lenses that play a special role in orchestrating the text, capable of dictating rhythm, emotional space, cultural and visual context.

Surrounding us at every turn, the letters transmit the endless stream of knowledge, speaking not only through the meaning, but also through the form, and ultimately, through the font itself. As the basis of a letter's medial nature, form is constructed of a series of parameters defining recognizability, readability, and tone of perception.

Focusing on this aspect in our new research, we decided to build small conceptual worlds for each of the fonts, supporting the intonation and character, structure and tradition, the story told to us by the letters.
